Kick-Starting the Blog

This is just an entry to set the Deadbacks blog into motion...

Recent weeks have seen slow but steady work on various aspects of the Deadbacks project. The main body of raw footage is in the hands of editor Denis Loubet, who is assembling it, scene by scene, into a rough cut of the movie. Once it's in rough cut form, we'll be able to begin doing ADR (additional dialogue recording, where we replace all the portions of dialogue that are fouled up by background noise or otherwise unsuitable), color correction, visual special effects, music, and so on.

The Deadbacks web site has gone through a much-needed update. It's still very bare-bones (no pun intended), but we'll be adding to it as time goes on.

I'll be visiting conventions and bookstores throughout 2006, and, whenever possible, will have Deadbacks materials on hand to show. My still-nebulous convention schedule appears on my schedule appearances page, and events more specific to Deadbacks will eventually be noted on the Deadbacks web site.

That's most of the news for now...
